INFORMATION FOR FOREIGN PATIENTS
- If you do not possess an insurance card from a German health insurance provider, and you come from:
one of the European Economic Area (EWR) Member States, or Switzerland, then you will be treated on presentment of European Health Insurance Card, or alternative certificate. Please bring your passport or other identification card with you. - a state with bilateral social security agreement, in which case you will be given an “Anspruchsnachweis” from a German health insurance company documenting your right to receive treatment. The accompanying „Abrechnungsschein“ will be used to settle the payment.
- any other foreign country not covered above, you will receive your bill by mail at the conclusion of treatment. Costs are based on the fee calculation schedule found in the „“Gebührenordnung für Ärzte“ (GOÄ), German Fee Schedule for Doctors. The bill is paid per electronic transfer to the account provided. Payment per check/credit card is not possible.
